MEDIA PERSONALITIES MISTAKENLY PRAISE DECADES-OLD MUGSHOTS IN CONNECTION TO LOUVRE HEIST

A recent on-air discussion about a major museum theft took an unexpected turn when television hosts commented on the appearance of individuals mistakenly linked to the crime.

During a broadcast, a host remarked on the attractiveness of two men whose images were circulating online in connection to a high-value jewel robbery at the Louvre in Paris last month. A guest co-host agreed, calling them the “best looking thieves” seen in a long time. The primary host quickly clarified that she did not condone criminal activity, stating that being “hot” should not put anyone above the law.

The conversation also touched upon security lapses, with the hosts expressing amusement that the museum’s reported entry password was simply the institution’s own name.

However, it was later revealed that the photographs which sparked these comments were not related to the recent Louvre incident. The viral images are actually mugshots from arrests dating back over a decade, with one of the individuals previously featured in an online listicle about attractive arrestees. Authorities have not released the photographs of the four individuals currently in custody for the October heist.

French officials described those arrested as local individuals, noting a trend of people without deep ties to organized crime engaging in serious offenses. The investigation into the recovery of the stolen artifacts continues.
