A former cast member of the television series “16 and Pregnant” has been taken into custody and charged with felony involuntary manslaughter in connection with a fatal drug overdose.
The arrest occurred in Floyd County, Georgia. Authorities allege the individual intentionally distributed a substance known as “Tranq,” a dangerous combination of Fentanyl and Xylazine, to a man named John Mark Harris. Harris subsequently overdosed and died.
In addition to the manslaughter charge, the individual was also arrested on two separate counts related to controlled substances, including possession with intent to distribute.
This legal development follows the recent and tragic death of the former reality star’s own 16-year-old son, who passed away in early June. The mother publicly confirmed the loss on social media, expressing profound grief, writing, “My beautiful son… has passed away. He was only 16 years old… This is really my worst nightmare come true.”
In the emotional posts, she addressed her son directly, saying, “I love you so much. You are my heart… Rest in Peace, my angel.”
Reports surfaced following the teenager’s funeral that the mother was denied entry to the service, a claim that left her reportedly “devastated.” However, the child’s father offered a different account, stating that viewing hours were clearly scheduled and that she had been invited in advance. He asserted that she arrived after the scheduled viewing had concluded and the service had begun, and that her name was, in fact, on the guest list. He noted that other members of her family were in attendance.
The individual has had previous encounters with law enforcement, including an arrest in 2021.
