In a recent podcast appearance, Sophia Abraham, the teenage daughter of public figure Farrah Abraham, openly discussed the current state of her family relationships. The young woman confirmed she has no active relationship with her maternal grandparents, Debra Danielsen and Michael Abraham.
Speaking candidly, Sophia expressed acceptance of this dynamic, stating she is “fine with that” regarding the distance. This revelation aligns with previous comments from her mother, Farrah, who has also been publicly vocal about her own estrangement from both parents, citing a desire to eliminate toxicity and maintain healthy personal boundaries.
Farrah Abraham has explained that while she has blocked her mother on all platforms, she acknowledges occasional outreach, such as birthday wishes to Sophia. However, she emphasized that her daughter has independently chosen to cut communication with both grandparents. Despite the separation, Farrah claims to hold no ill will, expressing a form of “distance love” and wishing her parents well in their own lives.
Interestingly, Sophia indicated she maintains a connection with relatives from her late father’s side of the family. Meanwhile, Farrah suggested the familial distance has had a positive side effect, allowing her parents to develop their own independent identities and lives without codependence. She framed the separation as a conscious choice to end what she described as “trauma bonds,” allowing all parties to move forward.
