Comedian Kel Mitchell is actively exploring new creative ventures, with a strong desire to reunite with his longtime friend and collaborator, Kenan Thompson. The duo, who first rose to fame together on the sketch series All That in the mid-90s, continue to discuss potential joint projects.

“We’re always in conversation about new ideas,” Mitchell noted. “We both have our individual pursuits, but we’re also looking at possibilities to team up again.” Their recent collaboration on Good Burger 2 has fueled audience demand for more, leading them to review scripts and connect with writers and directors.

Reflecting on their enduring partnership, Mitchell highlighted the rarity of such lasting friendships in the entertainment industry. “It’s like a constant, positive reunion,” he said. “Building a genuine friendship through this work is a special thing that doesn’t happen for everyone.”

Beyond this partnership, Mitchell is diversifying his roles. He has completed a thriller titled Heading East alongside former All That co-star Josh Server, describing the project as a dramatic departure for both. Additionally, he is involved in the series Play It Forward: Game On, which focuses on providing sports equipment to youth groups through surprise transformations.

Mitchell is also dedicating time to philanthropic efforts. He has partnered with the World Vision Gift Catalog, an initiative that allows donors to provide essential items like clean water, farming tools, and emergency aid to families globally. “It’s about helping others and putting smiles on faces,” he explained, emphasizing the importance of giving back both internationally and domestically.

He extends these values to his own family, teaching his children the importance of generosity by encouraging them to donate toys during the holiday season. “It shows them how to help someone else smile,” Mitchell shared.

Embracing this multifaceted phase of his career, Mitchell expressed enthusiasm for his ongoing journey in entertainment. “I love showing different sides of myself and using this platform to make a positive impact,” he said.
