FASHION DESIGNER ANNOUNCES NEW VENTURE INTO UNSCRIPTED CONTENT FOLLOWING REALITY TV DEPARTURE

Designer Rebecca Minkoff has revealed plans to return to viewers’ screens, but this time on her own terms. Following her recent exit from a popular reality television series, Minkoff is developing an independent video project that will offer a behind-the-scenes look at her professional and personal world.

The entrepreneur stated she is most interested in projects where she maintains creative control. “I engage fully when I’m in a producer role, ensuring authenticity in how stories are presented,” she explained. The upcoming series, which has been in production for several weeks, aims to pull back the curtain on business meetings and daily life. “I believe in transparency. Brands don’t need to gatekeep anymore. This is about taking the audience on the journey with me,” Minkoff added.

Reflecting on her brief television stint, Minkoff emphasized the importance of the right environment for on-camera work. “It comes down to the crew, the intention, and the atmosphere. I enjoy filming with my own team, where we can capture real moments—the challenging and the candid—because that’s what resonates as genuine,” she shared.

Her approach to the new content balances openness with discretion. “Authenticity is key, but it’s also about being thoughtful. You don’t have to share everything. It’s about understanding the purpose behind what you’re showing and why your audience is connecting with you,” Minkoff noted.

The announcement coincides with the launch of her latest fashion collaboration, a curated line now available at a major national retailer. The collection, described as versatile and accessible, features statement outerwear, denim, and her signature handbags. “The inspiration remains the same: a confident, fearless woman. This line carries that ethos but is designed for anyone who loves fashion without the high price tag. Style should be for everyone,” Minkoff said.

She expressed excitement about reaching a broader audience through the partnership. “It allows us to connect with women who may have been fans but found the brand out of reach. Now they can be part of it, which is incredibly rewarding.”

Marking her brand’s 20th anniversary this year, Minkoff described the period as one of celebration and new chapters, both in fashion and in forging a more direct, unfiltered connection with her audience through her upcoming video project.
