While Khloé Kardashian chose to skip this year’s Met Gala, she became her family’s most enthusiastic supporter from a distance, lavishing praise on their dramatic fashion choices via social media.
The event, held at New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art, saw her relatives make a striking entrance. Kim Kardashian arrived in a form-fitting, sheer gown by John Galliano for Maison Margiela, a look accentuated by a dramatically narrowed waist and a gray cardigan draped over her shoulders. Khloé shared her sister’s photos with an emphatic caption expressing her awe.
She also celebrated Kylie Jenner’s appearance in a custom ivory Oscar de la Renta gown, which featured a dramatic train and distinctive conical detailing. Khloé likened her younger sister to a “vintage Barbie” in her posts.
Further accolades were reserved for Kendall Jenner, who wore a historic piece from Alexander McQueen’s 1999 Givenchy haute couture collection. Khloé highlighted that the gown had never been worn by a person before, having only been displayed on a mannequin, and called her sister a “living angel.”
Not to be left out, matriarch Kris Jenner received glowing tribute for her elegant white satin Oscar de la Renta ensemble, with Khloé declaring her “my forever queen.”
Khloé Kardashian has historically been candid about her discomfort with such high-pressure red carpet events, having described her own Met Gala debut in 2022 as an anxiety-inducing experience. This year, however, she embraced the role of proud spectator, offering a full-throated endorsement of her family’s headline-making style.
