AUTHOR CLAIMS TRUMP TIPPED OFF POLICE IN EPSTEIN FEUD

A new report alleges that the late financier Jeffrey Epstein believed former President Donald Trump was responsible for alerting authorities to his criminal activities, following a personal and financial dispute between the two men.

According to claims published by author Michael Wolff, Epstein confided that Trump, aware of his illicit activities, provided information to police as their friendship deteriorated. Wolff states he initially included this account in a 2019 book, published with Epstein’s consent at the time.

The alleged falling out is traced to a 2004 real estate deal in Palm Beach, Florida. Wolff reports that Epstein believed he was the high bidder on a property, only to have Trump allegedly circumvent him with a higher offer. Epstein, reportedly skeptical that Trump had the funds personally, concluded the move was part of a separate financial arrangement and threatened to expose it.

Shortly thereafter, according to Wolff’s account, local police began investigating reports of young women frequently entering and leaving Epstein’s residence. Epstein allegedly connected this scrutiny to his conflict with Trump.

Wolff notes that weeks after his book’s publication, Epstein was arrested. The financier later died by suicide in a New York jail cell in August 2019, while Trump was president. Publicly, Trump has stated he ended his association with Epstein years prior, calling him a “creep.” The new claims present a contrasting narrative of their rift, suggesting it was rooted in a bitter financial disagreement.
