A NIGHT OF SEQUINS, SUITS, AND SOUTHERN STYLE: FASHION HIGHLIGHTS FROM THE 2025 ACM AWARDS

by Audrey Rock

The red carpet in Frisco, Texas, transformed into a vibrant showcase of country glamour as music’s biggest stars arrived for the 2025 Academy of Country Music Awards. The evening was a sartorial celebration, blending classic cowboy charm with high-fashion drama.

Veteran host Reba McEntire set a powerful tone, commanding attention in a sharply tailored black sequined blazer paired with towering boots. The night’s big winners also made strong style statements. Lainey Wilson, who took home top honors including Entertainer of the Year, brought sophisticated edge in a monochromatic black ensemble featuring a dramatic train and her signature cowboy hat. Ella Langley, celebrated as New Female Artist of the Year, turned heads in a curve-hugging mermaid gown.

Power couples showcased coordinated elegance. Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman epitomized sleek unity in complementary all-black attire, while Brantley Gilbert and his wife Amber Cochran contrasted his sharp black suit with her striking red sequined dress. Cody and Brandi Johnson shared a joyful fashion moment, with his beige hat and gray blazer harmonizing with her light gown, as they announced they are expecting their third child.

Bold colors and textures dominated the scene. Annie Bosko made a warm-weather statement in a vibrant orange satin gown accented with faux fur, and Maggie Antone sizzled in a fiery, sparkle-embellished red number. Carly Pearce and Gabby Barrett opted for glamorous sparkle and bold maroon respectively, each featuring daring high slits.

The mood ranged from playful to polished. Jessie Murph brought whimsy to the carpet with an unexpected companion—a pet pig named Wilbur. In contrast, artists like Dylan Gossett and Frankie Jonas leaned into timeless, suave tailoring with brown and dark suits. Jelly Roll kept his nominated status cool in an all-black rocker-inspired outfit, and Wynonna Judd captivated in a dramatic black lace-sleeved top.

From sleek, strapless silhouettes worn by Laci Kaye Booth and Mickey Guyton to the unified band styling of Group of the Year winners Old Dominion, the evening proved that country music’s fashion is as diverse and dynamic as the genre itself, marking a memorable night where personal style took center stage.
