ASHLEY PARK DISCUSSES NEW SEASON OF ‘EMILY IN PARIS’ AND PERSONAL ART PROJECT

Actress Ashley Park has shared insights into the upcoming fifth season of the popular series Emily in Paris, describing the production as an expansive undertaking that ventured into new European locales.

Reflecting on the recent trailer release, Park noted that the footage, focused on Rome, captures only a portion of the season’s scope. “It honestly felt like we filmed three movies,” she remarked. The cast filmed extensively in Paris and also traveled to Venice, with Park highlighting the distinct cultural experiences of shooting in Italy compared to France, including enjoying local cuisine.

Beyond her role as Mindy Chen on the Netflix series, Park is currently involved in a personal creative endeavor: the launch of CHROMA: Tales Between Hues, an immersive art installation in New York City developed in collaboration with Genesis House. The project explores Korean folklore through color and emotion.

“It feels like merging different parts of my life,” Park said of the installation. “Being Korean-American, getting to engage with my heritage in a fresh, modern way through this space is really special.” She emphasized the universal language of emotion, hoping visitors will find personal connections within the experience.

Park also spoke about embracing her role as a public figure representing her heritage. “There was a time I wondered if I deserved that platform, but now it’s something I’m proud of, not a burden,” she shared.

CHROMA: Tales Between Hues is now open to the public at Genesis House in Manhattan’s Meatpacking District.
