In a candid new interview, actor Kevin Spacey has revealed he is currently without a permanent home, living transiently between hotels and short-term rentals. Spacey, 66, once a dominant figure in Hollywood, described a state of financial precarity. “The expenses over these last several years have been immense,” he stated. “With very little income and significant outflows, I’ve managed, but I find myself back at the beginning, going where the work is. All my belongings are in storage. I’m staying in hotels and Airbnbs. I literally have no home to call my own right now.”
Though he maintained he has avoided bankruptcy, he acknowledged his finances are “not great.”
The actor’s career plummeted after a series of sexual misconduct allegations emerged in 2017, which he has consistently denied. Despite being acquitted of all charges in a high-profile 2023 U.K. trial, the professional repercussions have been lasting. He was removed from the hit series House of Cards and has largely been absent from major film and television projects since.
Concerns about his well-being have surfaced among those close to him. A source indicated that the ordeal has taken a severe emotional toll, leading to worries about his mental health and increased reliance on alcohol. “There is a genuine fear he could be suicidal if his situation doesn’t improve,” the source added.
