A family’s past is being revisited with serious new accusations from a son against his mother. Collin Gosselin has publicly claimed that his mother, Kate, was involved in an affair with her current boyfriend, a former family bodyguard, during her marriage to his father, Jon Gosselin.
The allegations surfaced following Kate’s recent revelation that she has been in a relationship with Steve Neild, who previously worked as a bodyguard for the family, for over a year. In a series of social media posts, Collin stated the relationship began far earlier, alleging infidelity that dates back to 2009.
“What truly disturbs me is that my mother had an affair with our bodyguard back in 2009,” Collin wrote. He described family vacations where, he claims, his mother would share hotel rooms with Neild while he was in a connecting room. He expressed frustration that the current portrayal of the relationship is seen as a “cute novel romance,” contrasting it with the public fallout his father endured for years after being accused of infidelity himself.
Jon Gosselin, Kate’s ex-husband, echoed his son’s sentiments online, posting a photo of Kate and Neild with a caption suggesting she was responsible for the marriage’s dissolution.
Collin insisted his motivation is not to create drama but to address what he views as a profound injustice. “I feel very strongly on the matter of cheating and then blaming someone else for your own actions,” he stated, adding that he and his father have “suffered the damage” and shared in the resulting pain.
He directed pointed questions to his mother, recalling specific instances from his childhood, including being made to sleep on a cot during vacations. “You told me I broke our family when you couldn’t stay true to my dad,” he concluded. “I’m done staying quiet.”
Jon and Kate Gosselin, married in 1999 and parents to twins and sextuplets, divorced in 2009 amid mutual allegations of infidelity, which Jon has consistently denied. Kate has not publicly responded to her son’s latest claims.
