A familiar face is returning to the beach this season, embracing the unpredictable journey of finding love on national television once more. Justin Glaze, a former contestant from “The Bachelor,” has joined the cast of “Bachelor in Paradise” for its tenth season, an opportunity he felt he couldn’t pass up despite the potential for an awkward reunion.
Glaze, who previously dated fellow franchise alum Susie Evans, acknowledged that seeing his ex in the resort setting was a consideration. However, he emphasized the mutual respect and kindness that has defined their dynamic since parting ways. “We’ve always held a lot of love and admiration for each other,” he noted, adding that while he anticipated moments of sadness, there was no lingering animosity between them.
The early episodes of the season have already hinted at the complexities of their shared history. In a recent rose ceremony, Glaze offered his rose to Evans, a gesture she ultimately declined. The emotional exchange concluded with Glaze leaving the set and Evans following him, leaving viewers to wonder about the fallout.
For Glaze, the decision to return was driven by a desire to remain open to new connections. “I was at a point where I hadn’t been dating,” he explained. “I’ve always believed in taking calculated risks. This felt like an opportunity I shouldn’t deprive myself of—you never know who you might meet.” He pointed to the success stories of other franchise couples as part of his inspiration.
The new season also features contestants from “The Golden Bachelor,” but Glaze clarified that romance with any of the older women was not in his plans. “They have incredible life experience to share,” he said, “but from my perspective, it was more of a familial admiration. Dating was never on my radar there.”
Beyond the search for love, Glaze is channeling a personal passion into a new business venture. An aficionado of espresso martinis, he is launching a ready-to-drink brand called Love Potion, set to debut this month. The idea grew from his social media presence, where followers frequently shared their own cocktail experiences and recommendations with him.
“It was a complete industry shift for me, moving away from corporate finance,” Glaze admitted. “I knew nothing about it, but I was determined to roll up my sleeves and create a great product. To me, there’s never a bad time for a good espresso martini—whether for a brunch pick-me-up or a nightcap.”
As the season unfolds, viewers will see whether the beach brings Glaze a fresh romantic beginning or more complicated chapters from the past.
