KEY ABSENCES NOTED AS ‘LOVE ISLAND’ SPINOFF PREMIERES

The premiere of the new reality television spinoff, “Love Island: Beyond the Villa,” has generated significant buzz, though the official cast list reveals two notable omissions from the previous season’s roster.

Kordell Beckham, who won the last season of the flagship show with his partner, Serena Page, is not listed among the primary participants. Reports indicate his absence is due to a scheduling conflict, as he has committed to filming a separate scripted television project. Despite not being a main cast member, it is understood he will make a supporting appearance. Representatives for Beckham have confirmed his ongoing relationship with Page remains strong.

Also absent is Rob Rausch, a contestant known for his dramatic appearances across two seasons. Rausch has publicly expressed a desire to move away from the format, having previously stated a lesson learned from his experience was to “never trust a TV producer.” His career trajectory appears to be shifting, with an upcoming role in a different competitive reality series announced recently.

The spinoff will instead feature a large ensemble of returning fan favorites, including Serena Page, Leah Kateb, and Miguel Harichi, among others. The series promises to document the group’s shared experiences in Los Angeles, which will include navigating both current relationships and potentially awkward encounters with former partners.

The first episode became available for streaming immediately following the conclusion of the latest “Love Island USA” season finale, with new installments scheduled for weekly release.
