A former reality television personality has publicly stated that her physical health declined significantly during her recent incarceration. In a new interview, she claimed to have developed new medical issues, including asthma, while in custody.
Her daughter separately detailed the challenging environment, describing extreme heat within the facility. She reported that indoor temperatures could reach approximately 100 degrees Fahrenheit without air conditioning, leading to incidents of heat exhaustion among inmates. The daughter contrasted these conditions with the climate-controlled areas provided for service dogs at the same location, calling the situation “inhumane.”
The woman’s husband, who was held at a different correctional institution, had previously raised concerns about facility maintenance, alleging unsanitary conditions and the presence of mold.
In response to such allegations, the federal bureau overseeing prisons has stated that it takes its duty of care seriously. A representative emphasized that the agency strives to maintain secure and humane environments and has established formal processes for inmates to address grievances related to their confinement.
Following their release, the husband reiterated claims of innocence regarding the charges for which they were convicted, stating he would only feel remorse if he had been guilty. The couple has indicated plans to resume their careers in television.
