ELLEN DEGENERES AND PORTIA DE ROSSI REPORTEDLY PLANNING RETURN TO U.S. AFTER BRIEF U.K. RESIDENCY

After roughly a year residing in the English countryside, Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi are said to be preparing for a permanent move back to the United States. Sources indicate the decision is driven by a combination of personal and lifestyle factors.

The couple, who relocated following the most recent presidential election, initially intended their stay overseas to be temporary. However, they ultimately extended their time abroad significantly. Now, motivations for their return reportedly include a pronounced dislike for the harsh British winters and a desire to be closer to their social circle in California.

Insiders suggest de Rossi is also eager to resume her acting career, a pursuit more easily managed from their home base. The pair are said to miss the consistent sunshine and familiar comforts of Southern California.

Prior to their current Cotswolds residence, the couple lived in a spacious Oxfordshire estate, chosen specifically for its equestrian facilities to accommodate de Rossi’s horses. Despite the pastoral setting, the pull of home has proven stronger.

Their planned return coincides with the recent listing of their primary Montecito property, a multi-million dollar home with five bedrooms, signaling a concrete step in their relocation process. While they once spoke enthusiastically about the charm of their English home, the focus has now shifted firmly back to California, with an anticipated arrival in time for the upcoming holiday season.
