FAMILY FEUD ERUPTS AS REALITY TV CHILD PUBLICLY ACCUSES FATHER OF DISHONESTY AND NEGLECT

A child from a well-known plural family has launched a public and emotional rebuke against their father, directly contradicting his televised claims of attempting reconciliation.

The individual, Leon Brown, broke a social media silence with a pointed statement on a popular platform. The message addressed a circulating video in which the father, Kody Brown, asserted he consistently reaches out to his adult children.

Leon’s statement was unequivocal. “Let me be so clear,” they wrote. “I have not heard from that man since my brother died. He blatantly ignored me at the funeral. He is a liar. He is a joke of a father.”

This accusation references the tragic death of their brother, Garrison Brown, who died by suicide last year. Leon’s comments stand in stark contrast to the narrative presented in a recent episode of the family’s long-running documentary series.

During the episode, Kody Brown discussed the fractured relationships with his older offspring, expressing a desire for therapeutic intervention to facilitate healing. He portrayed himself as the proactive party, stating, “I’ve tried to reach out. I’ve reached out to every one of my children, multiple times. And if they don’t have a relationship with me, it’s because they’re not reciprocating.”

This is not the first time Kody’s prioritization of family has been questioned by his children. In a past season, his daughter Ysabel Brown was visibly distraught when her father declined to accompany her across the country for a major spinal surgery, citing pandemic-related travel concerns.

“I think his priorities are a little screwed up,” Ysabel said at the time, adding that his actions contradicted his frequent mantra that “family comes first.”

Other adult children have also spoken about perceived favoritism within the large family. Another son, Paedon Brown, previously described a complex dynamic, suggesting his father focused disproportionately on younger children and those from a specific marital relationship.

The public airing of these deeply personal grievances highlights the ongoing and seemingly intensifying rift within the family, moving private struggles firmly into the public eye.
