SARAH FERGUSON SEEKS NEW WINDSOR HOME AS ROYAL LODGE EVICTION LOOMS

Sarah Ferguson, the former Duchess of York, has begun searching for a new residence in the Windsor area. This move comes as she and her ex-husband, Prince Andrew, face a mandated departure from their long-term home, Royal Lodge, by the end of January 2026.

The couple, who divorced in 1996 but have cohabitated at the Windsor estate since 2008, are required to vacate the property following decisions made by the monarchy. While Ferguson is actively evaluating housing options for a fresh start, Prince Andrew is expected to relocate to the royal Sandringham Estate in Norfolk.

Sources indicate Ferguson is determined to move forward independently and has not requested any special provisions. A home in Windsor would allow her to remain close to her daughters, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, who live with their families in nearby London.

However, the transition may not be straightforward. Reports suggest Prince Andrew is making significant demands in exchange for leaving Royal Lodge, including a substantial financial settlement and a fully staffed, large property on the Sandringham grounds. These negotiations are reportedly progressing slowly, with Andrew currently remaining in residence.

The situation underscores a broader restructuring within the royal household, with the future of the Royal Lodge property becoming a focal point in these changes. Ferguson’s search marks a new, independent chapter as the 2026 deadline approaches.
