AUTHOR ALLEGES TRUMP-EPSTEIN RIFT SPARKED LAW ENFORCEMENT TIP

A new claim has surfaced regarding the fractured relationship between former President Donald Trump and the late financier Jeffrey Epstein. According to a recent report, Epstein reportedly believed Trump was responsible for alerting authorities to his activities, an allegation tied to a personal and financial dispute between the two men.

The allegation was detailed in a post by author Michael Wolff, published following the release of thousands of documents by a congressional committee related to the Epstein case. Wolff states that Epstein confided in him, asserting he was convinced Trump provided information to police. This alleged tip-off is said to have been motivated by a soured friendship and a specific real estate conflict.

Wolff recounts that, per Epstein’s account, their relationship deteriorated in 2004 over a Palm Beach property. Epstein believed he was the leading bidder, but Trump reportedly intervened with a higher offer. Epstein, skeptical that Trump had the funds personally, concluded the move was part of a separate financial arrangement and threatened to reveal this. Shortly thereafter, according to Wolff’s account, local police began inquiring about the comings and goings of young women at Epstein’s residence.

The author notes he initially published aspects of this story in a 2019 book, released with Epstein’s consent at the time. Wolff recalls that Epstein expressed regret about the disclosures soon after, but the book was already in circulation. Epstein was arrested weeks later and died in a Manhattan jail cell in August 2019, a death ruled a suicide.

Trump has previously addressed his past association with Epstein, characterizing him in disparaging terms and citing that as the reason for ending their contact. This new account presents a contrasting narrative of the fallout, suggesting a deeper conflict over business and alleged betrayal. The claims add another layer to the long-running public examination of the connections between powerful figures and the convicted sex offender.
