MERI BROWN OF ‘SISTER WIVES’ FIRMLY REJECTS BEING COMPARED TO ROBYN

In a recent television special, Meri Brown delivered a pointed response to her former spouse, Kody Brown, after he suggested his other wives should aspire to experience the same profound connection he shares with his current wife, Robyn Brown.

During the program, it was relayed that Kody Brown expressed a desire for each of his wives to know a “divine love” akin to what he has with Robyn. Meri Brown, however, firmly dismissed the notion.

“I don’t think that’s fair for him to even say,” Meri stated. “We’re all supposed to be Robyn? I am Meri. I’m not going to be Robyn. I don’t want to be Robyn. I’m going to be my own individual person.”

While acknowledging Kody and Robyn’s happiness, Meri characterized his comments as unjust. When a host proposed that Kody’s love could be “equal but different” for each partner, Meri countered by pointing to a long-standing lack of acceptance in her own relationship with him.

Meri, who was Kody’s first wife, was legally divorced by him in 2014 so he could legally marry Robyn. The couple’s separation was made public years later. Reflecting on the family’s dynamics, Meri also expressed confusion over Kody’s past frustrations with another former wife, Christine, drawing a parallel to his unilateral decisions.

Another former spouse, Janelle Brown, who also separated from Kody in 2022, commented on the situation, suggesting a failure of communication. She indicated she was never consulted about Kody’s purported desire to cultivate similar bonds with his other wives.

For his part, Kody Brown has remained vocal about the distinctive nature of his relationship with Robyn. In a recently previewed segment, he defended their bond with fervor, expressing frustration over perceived criticism for the depth of his feelings.

The unfolding commentary highlights the enduring complexities and emotional fallout within the plural family as they navigate their public separations and private grievances.
