KEY SHAHS OF SUNSET STARS EXCLUDED FROM PLANNED SPIN-OFF

Several original cast members from the reality series Shahs of Sunset were reportedly not considered for an upcoming spin-off, according to sources familiar with the production.

The network recently confirmed that Reza Farahan, Golnesa “GG” Gharachedaghi, and Mercedes “MJ” Javid will headline the new program, tentatively titled The Valley Persian Style. However, a significant portion of the former ensemble—including Mike Shouhed, Destiney Rose, Nema Vand, and Shervin Roohparvar—were absent from the announcement.

Insiders indicate that for some, the omission was deliberate. Regarding Mike Shouhed, a source stated that he was not part of early discussions for a revival even before his recent personal controversies became public. Production was reportedly aware of ongoing issues, leading to his exclusion. “He was never mentioned,” the source said. “It’s as if he was never around.”

Practical reasons were cited for others. Destiney Rose’s relocation to Las Vegas reportedly made her participation in a California-based show unfeasible. Nema Vand’s departure was attributed to his perceived performance and a move to New York City after his sister, Mona Vand, began a relationship with a prominent influencer and secured him a job there.

As for Shervin Roohparvar, while he remains socially connected to some cast members and could make a guest appearance, he is not expected to have a central role.

Notably, Asa Soltan, who left the series after six seasons, was also not approached to return. Sources claim she was not brought up by the cast or production team during planning discussions for the new project.

The spin-off will reportedly introduce new cast members alongside the three returning stars, though their identities have not been disclosed. A premiere date for The Valley Persian Style has not yet been set.
