In a recent interview, Ariana Biermann provided an update on the protracted and highly publicized divorce proceedings between her mother, Kim Zolciak, and her stepfather, Kroy Biermann. According to Ariana, the legal process is nowhere near its conclusion.
“It’s been a really long divorce,” Ariana stated. “Two and a half years, and it’s still not even almost done.”
Despite the ongoing legal battle, Ariana reports that her mother is in good spirits and has embarked on a new chapter. Zolciak has recently moved into a new home and is focusing on her family and career. Ariana, who describes her mother as her best friend, expressed a protective sentiment and hope for her continued well-being.
“I hope that she just continues to thrive,” she said. “I’m just excited for her to just be a mom.”
Ariana also confirmed that Zolciak has begun dating again, though she advised her mother to take things slowly. “She’s out there and she deserves it,” Ariana noted, while cautioning about the modern dating landscape.
Echoing her daughter’s comments on her personal life, Zolciak was recently quoted saying she is “just dating” one person and emphasized her current happiness, stating she is focused on her children, her new home, and her work. She dismissed having a “new man” but affirmed she is in a positive place.
The separation has been a lengthy one. Initial divorce filings began in May 2023, followed by a brief reconciliation before the couple parted ways again later that summer. They were married for 12 years.
