Singer Anitta has clarified the nature of her relationship with real estate mogul Mauricio Umansky, firmly stating they are simply friends. The comments follow recurring public curiosity about their connection, which was sparked years ago by photographs from a joint ski trip.
During a recent television appearance, Anitta confirmed she remains in contact with Umansky, whom she described as a “great person.” When pressed by the host on the exact nature of their friendship, she emphasized they are “good friends” and explicitly denied any romantic involvement.
The inquiry stems from viral images of the pair from a 2023 vacation, which also featured social media personality Lele Pons. Anitta attributed the playful, attention-grabbing moments from that trip to going along with “the craziness.”
Umansky’s personal life has been under intense scrutiny since his separation from television personality Kyle Richards was announced in mid-2023. The separation was described at the time as amicable, with a joint statement requesting privacy.
