ABSENCE OF ELDEST SON FUELS SPECULATION IN VICTORIA BECKHAM’S DOCUMENTARY

The recent Netflix documentary centered on Victoria Beckham’s transition from pop icon to fashion designer has drawn attention not only for its subject matter but also for a conspicuous omission. The film, which premiered in London with the Beckham family in attendance, does not feature present-day appearances by the couple’s eldest son, Brooklyn Beckham.

While the documentary includes archival childhood footage of Brooklyn, it focuses its contemporary narrative on his three younger siblings: Romeo, Cruz, and Harper. The project follows Victoria Beckham’s preparations for her September 2024 Paris Fashion Week show, an event that Brooklyn and his wife, Nicola Peltz, did not attend. The couple was also absent from a subsequent fashion presentation in 2025.

This pattern of absence has intensified longstanding public speculation about family dynamics. Observers first noted tensions following Brooklyn and Nicola’s 2022 wedding. Although Nicola Peltz has previously dismissed rumors of a rift with her mother-in-law, the couple’s non-attendance at significant family gatherings, including David Beckham’s 50th birthday celebration in May, has kept the narrative alive. Reports also indicate that David and Victoria were not present for the couple’s vow renewal ceremony in August.

In a recent interview, Victoria Beckham addressed the speculation, emphasizing family unity. “We’re a very traditional family, much more than I think people would realize,” she stated. “We all support each other. We always show up for each other.”

Despite these public assurances, the documentary’s editorial choice to exclude current footage of Brooklyn continues to prompt discussion among viewers about the stories that unfold both on and off the screen.
