Ghislaine Maxwell, currently serving a 20-year sentence, has described significantly better living conditions following her recent transfer to a federal prison camp in Texas, according to a review of her correspondence.

Maxwell, 63, was moved to the Federal Prison Camp Bryan in August. In emails obtained by news outlets, she contrasts her current environment favorably with her prior facility, highlighting improvements in order, safety, and hygiene.

She specifically noted the cleanliness of the kitchen area and stated the institution is run in an “orderly fashion,” which she claims creates a safer and more comfortable environment for both inmates and staff. Maxwell expressed feeling “much happier” and, more importantly, “safe” at the Texas location.

Her correspondence detailed an absence of the rampant drug deals and fights she suggested were common at her previous prison. She also praised the prison’s warden as a “true professional.”

Maxwell was convicted for her role in recruiting and grooming underage girls for sexual abuse by the late financier Jeffrey Epstein. She has served approximately four years of her sentence.

Reports indicate that at the Texas facility, Maxwell receives meals in her room and has evening access to exercise and bathing facilities after other inmates have retired. The transfer occurred shortly after she met with federal officials, an encounter during which she reportedly provided information regarding numerous individuals connected to Epstein.
