FASHION MOGUL REFLECTS ON DIVORCE, CITING DIVERGING PATHS AND FAMILY FOCUS

A prominent figure in the fashion industry is speaking candidly about the dissolution of her long-term marriage, emphasizing that the decision was driven by fundamental disagreements and a primary concern for the well-being of her children.

The former stylist, who wed her university sweetheart in the late 1990s after meeting on campus, revealed that the relationship began to fracture when she started to critically re-evaluate their life together. She realized that she and her former partner increasingly disagreed on significant life outcomes and future directions.

“My perspective shifted entirely to what was best for my children,” she explained. “Every decision I make is filtered through that lens. I reached a point where I believed the situation was no longer the most positive environment for them.”

The couple, who share two sons, separated last year after more than two decades of marriage. The businesswoman officially filed for divorce earlier this year, stating she does not believe in remaining in an unhappy union.

“I was completely finished,” she stated unequivocally. Reflecting on the marriage’s duration, she noted that a significant portion of it was wonderful, and she feels no sense of failure or guilt, believing she gave the relationship her full effort.

However, with the clarity of hindsight, she admits she likely should have ended the marriage earlier. “I think many women who have been in a similar position would say the same thing,” she offered. “But the timing was what it was. Ultimately, I acted when I knew it was right for my family. Having two parents who are loving and present is more crucial than having two parents together in a strained relationship.”

Her personal journey through the separation is expected to be a central narrative in her upcoming role on a popular reality television series. She expressed a hope that by sharing her experience, she might provide support to other women navigating similar challenges, noting that a substantial number of women in her own social circle are dealing with separations.

The new season featuring her story is scheduled to premiere in early December.
