FINDING CONFIDENCE AFTER REALITY TV: A WINNER’S JOURNEY TO SELF-LOVE AND NEW BEGINNINGS

by BreAnna Bell

A former reality competition winner is embracing single life on her own terms, prioritizing self-worth and personal standards above all else.

Since her victory and subsequent departure from a popular summer dating show, the 26-year-old has focused on building a life grounded in intention and clear boundaries. She emphasizes that the foundation for any future relationship must be a strong sense of self.

“You have to know you’re okay by yourself first,” she advises. “Learn how to be alone before spending significant time with someone else. Once you know what you want, don’t let anyone make you compromise or lower your standards.”

Navigating newfound attention, she stresses the importance of moving with purpose. This includes being selective with professional partnerships and maintaining healthy limits with social media. “It’s about knowing when to put the phone down and not taking everything to heart,” she explains.

Her post-show journey has been marked by memorable milestones, including a dream encounter with a major music and film star, which she describes as a surreal “pinch-me” moment.

Friendship has also been a cornerstone of her experience. She credits a close bond with a fellow contestant, citing their shared principles and perspectives as crucial support during the transition to life after the show.

Professionally, she is thriving, recently partnering with a well-known hair care brand for a new fragrance-focused campaign. The collaboration felt particularly meaningful, connecting to nostalgic childhood memories of shopping with her mother. She values that the brand aligns with her ethics, emphasizing clean ingredients and hair protection alongside its signature scents.

The campaign’s theme of using scent to make an impression resonates with her, though she frames it around self-confidence rather than attracting others. “Scent is tied to memory, and for me, it brings back good ones,” she says. However, her final piece of advice redirects the focus inward: “Never impress anybody else—always impress yourself.”

She is now doing exactly that, building a life defined by self-assurance, intentional choices, and unwavering standards.
