FINDING LOVE LATER IN LIFE: A GOLDEN BACHELOR STAR EMBRACES NEW ROMANCE AND POSSIBILITIES

A public figure known for her appearance on a popular reality dating show is opening up about her blossoming new relationship and her refreshing perspective on life after 60.

The television personality, who is now 68, is currently dating a man from France. While discussing the future, she expressed a flexible view on marriage. “I don’t believe a formal wedding is an absolute must,” she shared. “A deep commitment to each other is what truly matters, though I’m certainly not against the idea of getting married again.” She humorously noted the practical considerations at her age, but emphasized that the core of any partnership is mutual feeling. “It’s all about how we feel about each other. That’s the important part—even though I’m the one who usually officiates weddings for others!”

Reflecting on finding love after the cameras stopped rolling, she described the experience as “wonderful.” She met her partner while on vacation, and they instantly connected over a shared sense of humor. “We’re both a bit silly, and we just clicked,” she said with a laugh. She praised his genuine and romantic nature, adding that their relationship is free from the pressures younger couples often face. “We’re not worried about buying a first home or starting a family. This chapter is purely about joy and what makes us happy.”

The couple currently maintains a long-distance relationship, which she admits is challenging. “It’s tough,” she stated, revealing that a five-week separation has been their longest yet. However, a reunion is imminent, with plans for him to visit the United States for the first time. She has a full itinerary planned for his visit, including family gatherings and trips to the shore, joking that he might be “overwhelmed” meeting her entire family.

Her adult children, she noted, have expressed some concern about the geographical distance, as her boyfriend resides in Saint Martin. “They’re a little worried I might pack up and move to the island,” she explained. While she playfully considered the idea of becoming a “snowbird” to split time between locations, she stressed that they are taking their relationship one day at a time.

Beyond her romantic life, she is thriving in her career. She co-hosts a podcast and has found a meaningful role as an ambassador for a major retailer, a position she holds dear. “It means everything to me,” she said of the partnership. “It’s not just about products; it’s about the people and the message. My goal has always been to show women over 50 that life isn’t over—it’s just beginning. We’ve done the hard work, and now there are so many possibilities.”

Her central message is one of empowerment and confidence in later years. “I want to spread the word that this can be the best chapter,” she asserted. “It might be the last chapter, or hopefully the longest, but it’s a powerful part of life. Cheers to that!”

She also offered candid advice drawn from her own experiences. “The dating world can be difficult. I went on national television to find someone, and that didn’t work out,” she recalled. “But if you stay on your sofa, nothing will come to you. You have to put yourself out there.” She shared that she met her current boyfriend by chance while using a dating app on a beach vacation. “I want people to know you should never stop trying. I was confident on my own, but I was also open to new connections. You have to make the best of what you have and the opportunities that come your way.”
