A public figure known for her appearance on a popular reality dating show is embracing a new chapter of love and life, proving that romance has no expiration date.
Susan Noles, 68, is currently in a relationship with a man named Frédéric, whom she met while on vacation. While the pair are navigating a long-distance relationship—he resides in Saint Martin—Noles expresses nothing but joy about their connection.
“It’s been fabulous,” she said of finding love after the show. “We clicked because we’re silly. I’ve never met anyone so genuine and romantic.”
The couple communicates through a translation app to bridge a slight language barrier, focusing on the simple joys of their partnership. “We’re not worried about buying a first house or having a family,” Noles explained. “It’s about what makes us happy, and we’re enjoying this time.”
When it comes to marriage, Noles has a pragmatic yet open view. “I don’t think it’s absolutely necessary to say ‘I do’—maybe a commitment to each other,” she noted. “But I am not opposed to it again. When you’re 68, there’s a lot to consider, but it’s about how we feel about each other. That’s what’s important.”
The distance, however, is a challenge. “It sucks,” she admitted, revealing that a five-week stretch apart has been their longest. She is eagerly anticipating his first visit to the United States, where she has a full itinerary planned, including introducing him to her entire family. “The poor thing is going to be overwhelmed,” she quipped.
Her adult children, she shared, are cautiously optimistic but have expressed concerns about her potentially relocating. Noles is considering a balanced approach. “It would be the best of both worlds if I was a snowbird,” she mused, suggesting a future where they split time between countries. For now, she emphasizes, “We take it one day at a time.”
Beyond her personal life, Noles is thriving professionally. She hosts a podcast, has taken on an ambassador role, and champions a message of empowerment for women over 50.
“My message is that your life isn’t over; it’s just beginning,” she stated. “We’ve already done the hard work. There are so many possibilities out there. This is the best chapter.”
Her advice for others seeking companionship is straightforward and rooted in her own experience. “The dating world can be a nightmare,” she acknowledged. “But if you’re going to stay on your sofa, he’s never going to come knocking on your door. You have to put yourself out there.”
She recounted meeting her boyfriend after deciding to try a dating app while on vacation. “I want to let people know you should never stop trying,” Noles urged. “I was confident in my own skin, and if I was going to be alone, so be it—but at least I was going to make the best of what I have.”
Noles’ story stands as a testament to living with confidence and openness, regardless of age, embracing new relationships and opportunities with style and optimism.
