A former child actor, widely recognized for his role in a popular 1990s television series, was taken into custody over the weekend following a violent altercation with his fiancée in rural Oregon.

Authorities report that the incident occurred near a camping area when the couple, who were traveling with their three young children, began arguing. The man exited their vehicle and proceeded to walk along the roadside. According to the sheriff’s office, his partner then allegedly drove the truck directly at him at high speed in an attempt to strike him. The man avoided injury by diving out of the path, and the vehicle subsequently landed in a ditch. The children, who were passengers at the time, were unharmed and are now in the care of a relative.

When deputies arrived at the scene, both individuals showed signs of impairment. It was also discovered that the man was under a court order prohibiting contact with his fiancée, constituting a violation of his probation from a prior domestic violence conviction.

The woman faces serious charges, including attempted assault and driving under the influence. The man was arrested for the probation violation related to his previous conviction.

This arrest follows a recent public statement by the former actor, in which he attributed a history of legal problems and personal struggles to the pressures of childhood fame and addiction. He expressed regret for past actions and a desire for personal growth, acknowledging the deep pain caused by being labeled a neglectful parent.

The case remains under investigation by local law enforcement.
