A familiar face from the world of reality television is making a significant career shift, moving from the confessional couch to the heart of a gritty crime series.

Amber Marchese, known to audiences from her time on a popular New Jersey-based reality show, is now starring in a new character-driven drama titled City of Honor. This project marks a notable departure from her previous on-screen work and represents her first major foray into a production and creative leadership role.

The series, which debuted on the streaming service Fawesome in late June and is slated to expand to other platforms, is set on the tense streets of a fictionalized city in southern New Jersey. Marchese portrays a key member of the West End Task Force, a dedicated team of detectives battling a rise in violent crime while simultaneously grappling with profound personal challenges.

The narrative centers on Detective Sergeant Dante Perez, a complex figure portrayed by director and co-star Jose Luis Torres II. Perez is a veteran cop, physically and emotionally scarred by his past, who must lead his unit through a treacherous landscape of escalating gang violence, a brutal serial killer, and hostile political forces.

Marchese describes the series as a “creative homecoming,” emphasizing its raw and emotionally charged storytelling. She praised the project’s diverse ensemble cast, which includes actors known for roles in major film and television franchises, for bringing a grounded authenticity to the screen.

Filmed on location across New Jersey, the drama promises to explore weighty themes of loyalty, justice, and redemption. According to Marchese, these elements form the core of the pilot episode and establish the foundation for what is intended to be a compelling and intense new addition to the television landscape.
