FROM “REBA” TO TODAY: WHERE THE BELOVED SITCOM’S CAST LANDED

The hit WB sitcom “Reba,” which charmed audiences from 2001 to 2007, followed the humorous trials of Reba Hart, a single mother facing her daughter’s surprise pregnancy and a messy divorce. While the show’s heart was its titular star, the ensemble cast created a memorable family dynamic that fans still cherish. Years after the finale, the actors have taken diverse paths in their careers and personal lives.

Leading the pack, Reba McEntire has maintained a formidable presence across entertainment. Beyond her ongoing success in country music, she has taken notable roles in series like “Young Sheldon” and “Big Sky,” and served as a coach on a popular singing competition. Her latest venture finds her both starring in and producing a new NBC comedy where her character inherits a family bar. In her personal life, after a long-term relationship with her former manager, she has been in a public romance with an actor since 2020, with their engagement announced at a major awards show in 2025.

JoAnna García Swisher, who played daughter Cheyenne, transitioned from a teenage mother on the show to a steady career in television. She has headlined series such as “Privileged” and now stars in a popular Netflix drama about lifelong friends in a small Southern town. She also stepped into the hosting role for a reality dating series. She has been married to a former professional athlete since 2010, with some of her former co-stars standing beside her at the wedding.

Steve Howey, beloved as the endearing Van Montgomery, leveraged his comedic timing into an 11-season run on a critically acclaimed cable drama about a dysfunctional Chicago family. He has since appeared in a television adaptation of a classic action film and made a guest appearance on his former leading lady’s new project. He was previously married to an actress, with whom he shares three children.

Christopher Rich portrayed the often-clueless ex-husband, Brock. His post-“Reba” career included arcs on several prominent legal and primetime dramas. His life took a challenging turn in 2018 when he suffered a serious health event that affected his mobility. He has spoken about the support he received from his former cast members during his recovery and recently made a return to television with a guest spot after a lengthy hiatus.

Melissa Peterman stole scenes as the delightfully eccentric Barbra Jean. She continued her sitcom work with a leading role in “Baby Daddy” and has frequently collaborated with McEntire on other projects, including a recent film and the new NBC series. She currently serves as the head judge on a holiday-themed dating competition program. She has been married for over two decades and has one son.

Scarlett Pomers, who played the sharp-tongued middle child Kyra, largely stepped away from acting after the series concluded. She focused on music, fronting a band and releasing an EP. After years away from the screen, she is slated to return in an independent short film scheduled for release in 2025.

The enduring bond of the cast is evident, with several members reuniting on McEntire’s latest television endeavor, offering longtime fans a welcome dose of nostalgia and proving that the Hart family spirit, in many ways, lives on.
