Kathy Hilton recently shared her perspective on her occasional appearances on a popular reality television series, emphasizing the benefits of not being a full-time cast member. Hilton, who joined the show in a supporting role several seasons ago, noted that the flexible arrangement allows her to maintain her busy schedule.
“I’ve truly appreciated the experience, but committing fully would limit my ability to attend other events,” she explained. “There’s a constant buzz around the show—even if there are occasional disagreements, things are often resolved quickly by the time I hear about them.”
She also highlighted the personal upside of filming, particularly the chance to spend quality time with her sister. “We share a lot of laughter, especially during trips. It feels like having your own close circle,” Hilton added.
Beyond television, Hilton is focused on business and family collaborations. She expressed enthusiasm about returning to a major retail platform, noting the significant evolution in the industry and the new opportunities created by digital outreach.
Hilton, who built her career alongside her husband from modest beginnings, said she has always encouraged her children to be independent and proactive. “We taught them to work hard and forge their own path. It’s a different time now—women are embracing every opportunity,” she remarked.
Currently, she is collaborating with her daughters on several lifestyle projects, including a rug line and upcoming candle collections, which she describes as a rewarding creative outlet.
The interview took place during a recent retail industry event in California, which brought together influencers, celebrities, and brands for a day of programming and product launches.
