LISA RINNA DECLINES BRAVO’S REQUEST TO FILM AT HIGH-PROFILE WEDDING

Former reality television star Lisa Rinna recently declined a request from producers to be filmed while attending a private family wedding, asserting her boundaries after departing from the show that made her famous.

Rinna, who left “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” in 2022, was a guest at the recent wedding of Alexia Umansky, daughter of Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky. According to Rinna, the invitation contained no indication that the event would be filmed for the Bravo series. She stated she was therefore “relieved and excited” to attend purely as a guest to support the couple.

That changed when a producer from the show contacted her directly to ask for permission to film her at the celebration. Rinna’s response was a firm refusal.

“I didn’t think you were filming at the wedding, and no, you can’t film me,” Rinna recounted saying. She made it clear she would attend but would not participate in filming, suggesting producers would have to “film around” her or blur her out if necessary.

The actor and podcast host described the interaction as giving her a “nice satisfaction,” standing her ground after years on the program. Her husband, Harry Hamlin, voiced his support for her decision during their conversation.

Since her exit from the franchise, Rinna has been openly critical of certain behind-the-scenes aspects of reality television production. She has previously expressed frustration with financial burdens placed on cast members, specifically citing costs for wardrobe, hair, and makeup that she believes should be covered by the network.

“I spent all my money on hair and makeup and wardrobe,” she said, characterizing the expectation for stars to fund their own appearances as the “hardest thing” about the job.
