NEW ALLEGATIONS SUGGEST TRUMP MAY HAVE PROMPTED EPSTEIN INVESTIGATION

by Nicki Gostin

A recent claim has surfaced alleging that former President Donald Trump may have played a role in alerting authorities to Jeffrey Epstein’s criminal activities. The accusation stems from a report by author Michael Wolff, who asserts that Epstein himself believed Trump provided information to police amid a personal and financial dispute between the two men.

According to Wolff, the falling-out reportedly began in 2004 over a Palm Beach property. Epstein, who considered himself the leading bidder, allegedly brought Trump to view the estate. Trump is said to have then submitted a higher bid, leading Epstein to suspect financial impropriety and threaten exposure. Shortly afterward, law enforcement began looking into reports of young women frequently visiting Epstein’s residence.

Wolff notes that he initially published details of the rift in 2019 with Epstein’s consent. Shortly after the book’s release, Epstein was arrested upon returning to the United States. He later died in jail in an apparent suicide, just as federal prosecutors moved to revisit a prior non-prosecution agreement related to his case.

Trump has previously distanced himself from Epstein, describing him as a “creep” and claiming their friendship ended years earlier. These latest claims, however, present a contrasting narrative, suggesting that their relationship dissolved amid accusations of betrayal and retaliation.

The allegations emerge as renewed attention focuses on Epstein’s network and the circumstances surrounding his initial investigation and final days.
