Recently disclosed correspondence has revealed that the late financier Jeffrey Epstein once proposed providing a journalist with photographs of Donald Trump in a compromising social setting. The emails, made public by the House Oversight Committee, date to late 2015, shortly after Trump announced his first presidential campaign.

According to the communications, Epstein contacted a former financial reporter in December of that year. In the exchange, Epstein explicitly offered images of Trump with what he described as “girls in bikinis” at his residence. The reporter expressed immediate interest, but later stated the photos were never actually delivered, leaving their existence unverified.

The offer followed renewed public interest in a decades-old magazine profile that featured quotes from Trump praising Epstein’s social life. The subsequent email chain shows Epstein suggesting he had conducted research into Trump’s financial dealings and alluding to an anecdote about Trump becoming distracted by individuals swimming in a pool.

In a separate communication from 2018, Epstein told a former White House official that he was aware of damaging information concerning Trump. The financier, who was later convicted for sex trafficking, implied he possessed knowledge that could be politically troublesome.

To date, no allegations of illegal conduct have been made against the former president in relation to the Epstein case. The release of these emails has nonetheless brought renewed scrutiny to their past association.
