OLYMPIC CHAMPION CRITICIZES CELEBRITY FASHION BRAND OVER SIZING ISSUES

by Audrey Rock

A celebrated Olympic gymnast has publicly called out a major celebrity fashion line, claiming its sizing is inaccurate. The athlete shared a photo of herself wearing a blazer from the brand, which she ordered in an extra small size, but stated it fit far too large.

In a social media post, the gymnast directly addressed the brand’s founder, writing, “This is a crime!!!!!” and asserting the garment was not true to its labeled size. The post sparked a wave of reactions online.

Many supporters, particularly those of shorter stature, echoed the frustration, commenting on the persistent difficulty of finding well-fitting clothing. “I hate being petite,” one person wrote. “So many clothes I’d love to wear but just physically can’t.”

However, some observers questioned the expectation that an “oversized” designer blazer would fit a smaller frame snugly. One commenter noted the athlete’s stature, while another quipped she might have better luck with a children’s clothing line.

Despite this criticism, the fashion brand in question has been a commercial success since its launch, reportedly generating over a million dollars in sales within its first hour. The founder has emphasized her deep personal involvement in every aspect of the business, from design to marketing, calling the venture “very personal.”

The gymnast, recently honored with an honorary doctorate, has been traveling internationally and delivering commencement speeches, showcasing a busy schedule beyond the athletic arena.
