POSTHUMOUS MEMOIR DETAILS ALLEGATIONS OF ENTITLEMENT AND ABUSE AGAINST ROYAL FIGURE

by Hannah Southwick

A posthumously published memoir contains detailed allegations from a woman who claimed she was trafficked as a teenager, including assertions about a senior member of the British Royal Family. The author, who died earlier this year, writes that the royal figure displayed a profound sense of entitlement during their encounters.

In the book, set for release this week, the author describes a meeting in London in March 2001, facilitated by the now-convicted associate of the late financier Jeffrey Epstein. The author recounts being told she would meet a “handsome prince.” Upon their introduction, the royal is said to have remarked that his own daughters were close to her age at the time, which was 17.

A now-infamous photograph from that evening, showing the pair with the convicted associate in the background, has been widely circulated. The royal has previously disputed the authenticity of the image and denied all allegations, though these denials remain unverified by independent evidence.

The memoir provides a narrative of that evening, alleging a visit to a nightclub where the author describes her companion as an awkward dancer who “sweated profusely.” This account directly contradicts a claim the royal made in a 2019 television interview, in which he insisted a medical condition prevented him from sweating.

The author further alleges that the encounter culminated in a sexual act at a London residence, which she characterizes as brief. She writes that the man’s demeanor was “friendly enough, but still entitled — as if he believed having sex with me was his birthright.” She states she was later paid $15,000 by Epstein for what was termed “servicing” the individual.

The book also references two other alleged incidents: one in New York a month after the London meeting, and another on a private island around the time of her 18th birthday. The island encounter is described as involving several other young women.

While the royal has consistently and categorically denied ever meeting the author or any wrongdoing, he settled a civil lawsuit she filed against him in 2022. The terms of that settlement were not disclosed.
