REALITY SERIES RETURNS FOR MID-SEASON PREMIERE AMIDST FAMILY FRACTURE

by BreAnna Bell

The popular reality program focusing on a plural marriage will resume its current season on April 20th, bringing viewers back into the fold of a family now fundamentally changed.

The series chronicles the life of a man, Kody Brown, and his relationships with four women. What began as an exploration of their unconventional family structure has evolved into a story of separation and division. Over the past few years, three of the four original wives—Christine, Janelle, and Meri—have ended their marital bonds with Kody. Only his wife Robyn remains in the shared household.

This season has delved into the complex aftermath of these splits, which have geographically dispersed the family across several states. A significant point of contention remains a large parcel of land in Arizona, known as Coyote Pass. Originally purchased for over $800,000 with the dream of building a single, unified home for the entire family, the property’s future is now uncertain.

Recent property records indicate the land has been formally divided. Kody and Robyn now hold a 50 percent ownership stake, while Janelle and Meri each retain 25 percent. Christine previously relinquished her share back to Kody and Robyn for a nominal fee.

While the show is confirmed to return for the latter half of its nineteenth season, its long-term fate beyond this cycle is currently unclear, leaving its audience in suspense about whether the cameras will continue to roll.
