In a new memoir and recent interviews, the star claims her former mentor and executive producer was fully aware of a past affair but deliberately obscured the truth for nearly a decade. The star describes being “gaslit” about the situation, suggesting the producer strategically used her personal pain as foundational drama for a hit television franchise.
“The narrative was controlled from the start,” the star stated, reflecting on the early days of the show. She recalls feeling pressured to adhere to a predetermined “script” during filming, citing an instance where she received pointed cues to defend a co-star during a staff meeting. “Watching it back, the expectation to perform was clear,” she explained.
The controversy centers on an affair that occurred years before the cameras started rolling. The star, who was in her early twenties at the time, asserts she was misled by the older, married man involved. While acknowledging her role, she emphasizes the disproportionate blame she has carried publicly compared to her former partner. “He was the one who lied and cheated. The label and the stigma have followed me for years, often detached from the actual timeline and context,” she said.
