REALITY TV PERSONALITY ARRESTED ON NEW STRANGULATION CHARGE

Nathan Griffith, a former cast member of the MTV series “Teen Mom 2,” is in custody following his arrest this week in Las Vegas. Official records from the Clark County Detention Center indicate Griffith was booked in the early hours of April 23 on charges related to strangulation and for violating the terms of his probation.

This latest incident follows a pattern of similar allegations against Griffith. In July of 2023, he pleaded guilty to felony battery after his sister, Heather Griffith, accused him of a violent assault during which she said he choked her and threatened her life. Just months prior to that, a separate report was filed by a brother-in-law alleging Griffith had strangled another woman, though charges in that case were later dropped.

Following the recent arrest, Griffith’s girlfriend appears to have removed all traces of him from her social media profile. Her only new post since the news broke features a selfie with dark sunglasses, set to a song with the lyric “listen to your heart.”

Griffith’s legal troubles have been compounded by struggles with substance abuse. In early 2024, he reportedly entered a rehabilitation facility in an effort to avoid a prison sentence for a probation violation related to a missed test. His mother publicly stated at the time that he was taking the situation seriously.

Details surrounding the most recent alleged victim and the specific circumstances of the new strangulation charge remain limited as the investigation continues. Griffith is currently being held without bond.
