In a recent social media livestream, a mother and former reality television personality made explosive allegations against the network that made her famous, claiming it had exploited her teenage daughter for years.
The mother, who has a long and public history with the network, stated her child was systematically “groomed” by the entire production franchise. She argued that from a young age, her daughter was conditioned to believe appearing on camera was simply “her job.”
“I am fighting for my daughter not to be used for television,” the mother declared during the broadcast. She suggested financial incentives were a driving force for others involved, alleging they were willing to “sell” her child for a paycheck, a proposition she claimed to have vehemently rejected.
The accusations extend beyond the network to the girl’s father and stepmother, whom the mother has previously accused of similar exploitative behavior. She insists she retains legal custody but is being kept from her daughter by them. The mother claimed to possess extensive evidence spanning over a decade to support her claims if the matter were ever brought before a judge.
These latest allegations come amid a prolonged and public estrangement between the mother and daughter. The teenager has previously expressed her decision to cut ties, citing her mother’s inconsistent presence and a pattern of behavior that felt inauthentic, particularly during filmed interactions.
The daughter has described feeling that her mother’s affection during these on-camera meetings was “fake,” given the lack of contact when production crews were not present. She characterized the dynamic as emotionally overwhelming and stated she was finished seeking a relationship under those terms.
