ROYAL RIFT REPORTEDLY ROOTED IN CONCERNS OVER DUCHESS’S AMBITIONS

The long-reported strain between the brothers, a Prince and the Duke, is often traced to the latter’s departure from official duties with his wife several years ago. However, new claims suggest the discord began much earlier, at the very start of their courtship.

According to a royal commentator, the elder brother’s deep-seated reservations about the American actress were the initial catalyst for the fraternal fallout. These concerns, the commentator alleges, centered on a belief that the Duchess viewed the marriage not as an end, but as a means to a different kind of life.

This perspective appears to find support in a posthumously released interview with a late relative of the former monarch. In the conversation, the relative stated that the Queen herself harbored significant worries upon learning of the impending union. The relative claimed the sovereign confided that she foresaw considerable difficulty, suggesting the bride-to-be had a fundamentally “different way” of seeing the world.

The interview further alleges a direct contradiction regarding the wedding. While the Duke reportedly wrote to the relative asserting his grandmother’s contentment with their modified ceremony plans, the relative insists the Queen was, in fact, “not at all content” and was “really upset” by the proceedings and the strain placed on their relationship.

Reflecting on the dynamic, the relative characterized the Duke as “besotted and weak” in matters of the heart, particularly when drawn to determined and charismatic partners. The implication was that a calculated ambition, rather than genuine affection, may have driven the entry into the family, with the Duke’s perceived lack of strength and acuity being exploited. These revelations, described by observers as explosive, purport to confirm long-held suspicions about the true motives behind a marriage that irrevocably altered the royal landscape.
