In federal court testimony this week, a singer and former long-term partner of a prominent music executive provided graphic details of alleged abuse, coercion, and intimidation spanning over a decade.
The witness took the stand in Manhattan as part of a broader criminal trial concerning serious federal charges, including sex trafficking and racketeering. Her account centered on her relationship with the defendant, which lasted from approximately 2007 to 2018.
Central to her testimony were allegations involving firearms. She stated that handguns were present in multiple residences owned by the defendant. While often secured, she recalled instances where they were in plain view. One specific incident, she recounted, occurred when the pair were en route to a Los Angeles nightclub.
“I had taken mushrooms and was in an altered state,” she testified. “I was handed a loaded gun to hold in my bag. I was terrified for the entire hour or more we were inside, afraid it would discharge.” She described never having handled a firearm before and said she perceived the presence of weapons as a “scare tactic,” though she claimed not to understand the specific intent.
Her testimony also included severe allegations of physical violence. She described a pattern of assaults where she was struck in the head, knocked down, dragged, and kicked. “It could be for making the wrong expression,” she stated, alleging the attacks were so violent they left physical knots on her forehead.
Furthermore, she provided context for events described as “freak off” parties, a element of interest to federal prosecutors. She alleged the defendant orchestrated these events, which involved hired escorts and required her to perform. She characterized the longest such event as lasting up to four days. She told the court that early in their relationship, she was sexually inexperienced and that intimacy was transformed into a compulsory “job.”
The witness concluded by alleging a comprehensive system of control, stating she felt trapped and unable to leave because the defendant dominated all aspects of her personal and professional life. The trial is ongoing.
