The stars of Netflix’s global phenomenon, “Stranger Things,” are set to receive monumental paydays for the show’s upcoming fifth and final season, according to recent reports. The figures represent a dramatic increase from the cast’s humble beginnings and highlight the show’s immense financial success.
Leading the pack are veteran actors Winona Ryder and David Harbour. Ryder, who portrays Joyce Byers, is reportedly earning $9.5 million for the season, a significant leap from her $2.8 million salary for the third installment. Harbour, who plays Chief Jim Hopper, is also set to take home $9.5 million.
Several of the show’s younger ensemble cast members have seen their earnings skyrocket. Caleb McLaughlin (Lucas Sinclair), Gaten Matarazzo (Dustin Henderson), Noah Schnapp (Will Byers), and Sadie Sink (Max Mayfield) are each reportedly earning approximately $7 million for the final season. This is a stark contrast to the reported $25,000 per episode some earned when the series premiered.
Other core cast members, including Natalia Dyer (Nancy Wheeler), Charlie Heaton (Jonathan Byers), Joe Keery (Steve Harrington), and Maya Hawke (Robin Buckley), are said to be receiving around $6 million for the season. Finn Wolfhard (Mike Wheeler) is reportedly earning $375,000 per episode.
While an exact figure was not disclosed for Millie Bobby Brown, who plays the pivotal role of Eleven, her overall deal with Netflix was described as “ridiculously lucrative.” She began her tenure on the show earning $20,000 per episode.
The reported salaries underscore the show’s transformation from a cult hit to a cornerstone of Netflix’s original programming, with its cast being compensated at the highest levels for television.
