TITLE: ‘REAL HOUSEWIVES OF POTOMAC’ MOVES FORWARD WITH SEASON 10 AMID CAST SHAKE-UP AND ABSENCE OF KEY STAR

Filming for the tenth season of the reality series The Real Housewives of Potomac is reportedly commencing, marking a new chapter for the show as it proceeds without one of its most prominent figures.

Production is moving forward this week, according to sources familiar with the matter. While the full roster has not been finalized, several familiar faces are confirmed to return. Among them are Wendy Osefo, Gizelle Bryant, Ashley Darby, and Stacey Rusch. Rusch’s return comes despite significant controversy surrounding her during the previous season’s reunion special.

The new season will unfold without Karen Huger, a central cast member since the show’s inception. Huger is currently serving a sentence at a correctional facility in Maryland. Recent efforts to secure a transfer to a work-release program were denied by a judge, a setback her legal team attributed to unfavorable judicial assignment. Under the rules of the pre-release center she sought to enter, residents cannot participate in video or audio recording, which would have precluded any filming. Barring any changes, she is expected to be released in the early fall.

The casting landscape reflects an ongoing evolution for the long-running franchise. Original cast member Charrisse Jackson-Jordan has publicly stated she will not be returning for the new season. In recent comments, she suggested production is seeking a different demographic, focusing on younger, married cast members with children, a shift from the current dynamic.

Questions also remain about the status of Mia Thornton. Her departure from the Season 9 reunion and rumors of her relocation have cast doubt on her involvement. Sources within the cast have previously expressed reluctance about her return, citing strained relationships.

The network has not issued an official statement regarding the casting for the upcoming season.
