Two personalities from a popular streaming series are trading their reality TV drama for the ballroom. Jen Affleck and Whitney Leavitt, known for their roles in the Hulu docuseries Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, have been confirmed as contestants for the 34th season of the celebrity dance competition Dancing With the Stars.

The announcement was made during a reunion special for the Hulu series, which aired recently. The host of the special revealed the news directly to the cast, stating that due to the audience’s strong connection with the women, two of them would be moving on to the dance competition.

While multiple cast members were reportedly considered, the selection ultimately landed on Affleck and Leavitt. Their participation adds to a growing list of confirmed celebrities for the new season, which is also set to include social media influencer Alix Earle and Robert Irwin, the son of the late wildlife expert Steve Irwin. The full roster of competitors is expected to be unveiled in the coming weeks.

Affleck, who is currently expecting her third child, expressed excitement about the opportunity, humorously challenging her fellow cast member. The docuseries that launched them into the spotlight premiered last year and quickly became one of the streaming platform’s most-watched unscripted shows, leading to a multi-episode renewal.

The series chronicles the lives of a group of social media influencers within a specific community. Throughout its run, Leavitt’s dynamic with the group and Affleck’s personal marital journey became central storylines. Affleck recently shared that she had gone into labor, though the birth of her child has not yet been formally announced.

The new season of Dancing With the Stars is scheduled to premiere this fall.
