VANESSA WILLIAMS MAKES A BOLD FASHION STATEMENT AT WIMBLEDON DEBUT

by Audrey Rock

Actress and singer Vanessa Williams turned heads at the All England Club this week, marking her first visit to the prestigious Wimbledon tennis championships with a striking sartorial choice. The performer was accompanied by her daughter, Sasha Fox, for the iconic sporting event.

Williams opted for a vibrant, sleeveless jumpsuit featuring a psychedelic print reminiscent of 1960s fashion, complete with a halter neckline and wide-leg trousers. In contrast, her daughter chose a more classic Wimbledon ensemble, wearing a black-and-white polka dot dress accessorized with layered necklaces.

The mother-daughter outing comes while Williams is based in London for a leading role in the West End musical adaptation of The Devil Wears Prada, where she portrays the formidable editor Miranda Priestley. She recently discussed her approach to the iconic part, emphasizing her intent to make the role distinctively her own rather than drawing comparisons to previous performances.

Williams and Fox, whom she shares with former professional basketball player Rick Fox, have remained on amicable terms following their divorce, co-parenting their daughter. Williams is also a mother to three adult children from a previous marriage.
